DPMM FC's BACKGROUND

Despite being officially established in 2000, DPMM FC actually started out as a college football team somewhere in 1994. After being the most successful team in college, most of the college's talented players joined DPMM FC and the club became even more stronger and well established.

In 2005, DPMM FC joined the Malaysian Premier League (Malaysian 2nd division). In the first attempt, the team manage to gain promotion into the Malaysian Super League (Malaysian top league). The following season after gaining promotion (2006/2007 season), DPMM FC finished 3rd in the Malaysian Super League.

In 2007, DPMM FC were also invited by the Football Association of Singapore to participate in the Singapore Cup but were knocked out in the first round by the defending champions, Tampines Rovers FC.

In 2009, DPMM joined the S-League, the domestic football league in Singapore.
